How to Set a Weekly Betting Loss Limit and Max Bet Size

Minimal chart on a dark background. Seven green bars for weekly totals rise toward but stay under a glowing gold limit line, next to a neat stack of plain, unmarked chips.

A loss limit you invent after a loss is a mood. A loss limit you set on Tuesday is a decision. BetSharper asks for two of them: a max bet size per game (called max position in the app) and a weekly loss limit. Both are in dollars you choose. Leave them blank and you get no warning.

The warning shows up before a real-money bet is saved. It does not block the entry. You can still log the bet. You just cannot pretend you had not already drawn the line.

What is a weekly loss limit?

It is the most you are willing to lose in a week, written down before the week starts. Once you reach it, every extra bet is a new decision, made in the open, against a number you set when you were calm. That is how a loss limit helps you avoid chasing losses.

How do you choose a max bet size?

Your max bet size does the same job for a single game. It is the most you will put on one bet, chosen before you know which game will feel like the one. If you track your betting in units (a fixed slice of your bankroll), this is your largest bet in units.

Who sets the limits?

You do. Nobody else's bankroll belongs in the app. The numbers are yours, and the warning quotes them back to you. If you leave them blank, the app stays quiet. That is also a choice. The useful version is the one you filled in before the slate.
